SE33I (XP) 4-Stroke, OHV, Inverted Engine Overview
This simple yet robust 4-stroke, OHV, inverted engine is designed based on a proven industrial solution, making it a reliable and efficient choice for light aircraft like the SD-1. With a weight of 32 kg, it strikes a balance between power and lightweight design, enhancing the aircraft’s overall performance. Power of basic version is 33 HP. The SE33I XP tunned version has power of 35 HP.
Engine Specifications
- Crankshaft and Connecting Rods: The engine features forged crankshaft and connecting rods, ensuring durability and strength, which are critical for consistent performance and long engine life.

- Fuel Type: The engine runs on MOGAS with a minimum octane rating of 95 RON, making it compatible with widely available automotive gasoline.

- Overhaul Cost: The estimated overhaul price is approximately 2000 EUR, offering a cost-effective maintenance solution for operators.
Suitability
The SE33I (XP) is considered the most suitable 4-stroke engine for the SD-1, providing a well-rounded combination of reliability, performance, and cost-efficiency, making it an excellent choice for both amateur and experienced pilots.
