SE33I XP (35 HP) Engine Overview
This simple yet robust 4-stroke, OHV, inverted engine is based on a proven industrial solution, making it a reliable and efficient choice for light aircraft like the SD-1. With a weight of 32 kg, it strikes a balance between power and lightweight design, enhancing the aircraft’s overall performance. The SE33I XP has compresion ratio balanced and ported cylinder heads. High performance gaskets are used also. Lubrication system is based on dry crankcase, external oil tank and cooler. There are special high amplitude engine pads used for low vibration level.

- Fuel Type: The engine runs on MOGAS with a minimum octane rating of 95 RON, making it compatible with widely available automotive gasoline.
- Time Between Overhauls (TBO): The engine has a TBO of 1000 hours.
- Overhaul Cost: The estimated overhaul price is approximately 2000 EUR, offering a cost-effective maintenance solution for operators.
Suitability
The SE33I XP is considered the most suitable 4-stroke engine for the SD-1, providing a well-rounded combination of reliability, performance, and cost-efficiency, making it an excellent choice for both amateur and experienced pilots.
